I’m Cole Johnston, founder of Johnston Dialogue. I’m a dialogue educator and facilitator who helps campuses, corporations, and community organizations connect and collaborate across real disagreement.

My method draws on a decade of professional experience and over 2,000 hours of active facilitation at universities like Vanderbilt, Cornell, and Dartmouth, small-town high schools, and StoryCorps’ One Small Step.

I create context-embedded, experiential learning opportunities that translate dialogue theory into practical expertise and genuine connection. Through these experiences, I aspire create cultures that treat our different perspectives, stories, and relationships as opportunities, not obstacles.

All of my work is in service to one core truth: Above all, we need each other.
